I’ve hand picked sutras that are thought provoking, interpretive, and can inspire more awe in one’s life. This class is meant to help you access your awakened heart, magnify your curiosity, and feel more deeply connected to everything around you.

This class is great for students looking to expand their practice as well as teachers who want to deepen their understanding of yogic philosophy, and even apply it to their own classes.

PHILOSOPHY THEME: What does it mean to be?

FLOW: Starting from a place of wonder

We’ll begin at the beginning and notice what it’s like to marvel at the fact that we get to be. How does philosophy illustrate the gift of life? Before we begin to ask the questions of why we’re here, where we come from, what matters, or any other relational inquiry, we’ll anchor into the reminder of our pure and precious existence. Our flow practice will be focused on heart openers, particularly finding more space, length, and freedom in them.

PHILOSOPHY THEME: Sutra 1.1 ʚɞ Our unshakable goodness and deserving nature

FLOW: Begin again

We’ll explore the potential of humans and our ability to be deeply in and of the world. The word now is a potent one in this first sutra, implying that we can do the practice any time, just as we are, without prerequisites or past experience. The only way to be more in touch is to start now and know that we have many chances to begin again. Our flow practice will incorporate balancing postures, which require our complete focus and presence.
