Restorative yoga is a series of longer-held, passive postures that promote relaxation and ease. Restorative uses props to position the body in a way that releases muscular engagement and favors the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest mode). Restorative yoga is a gentle, forgiving, supportive practice that allows one to experience deep, reparative rest.
